6. Outlook

All these very recent results show very intense R&D activity, which, given the laboratory results, suggests spectacular improvements in the efficiency of thermoelectric generators and coolers.

Tomorrow, a multitude of applications will be possible for people's well-being. In the vast majority of cases, conventional alkaline or mercury batteries will no longer be needed, which will limit the amount of recycling required. The clothes we wear will be a source of energy.
