7. Conclusion

By eliminating the need to manufacture objects layer by layer, volumetric stereolithography produces 3D objects as a unitary operation. Several methods for localizing energy in a volume (rather than on a surface) have thus been developed: superimposition of optical fields, concentration of beams, simultaneous production of free radicals carrying polymerization chains and inhibiting this same polymerization, exploitation of the non-linearities of polymerization reaction kinetics, and so on. Currently, volume additive manufacturing can produce complex parts at high throughput (> 10 5 mm 3 per hour according to Huang, Qin and Wang
