2. The problem of VOCs and siloxanes in biogas

Although biogas with a methane content of more than 45% is flammable, it must be purified for energy recovery, as indicated by the tolerance values in section 1 . This is because some of the minor compounds (table 12 ) in biogas are harmful to equipment or incompatible with the intended use.
