Energy (conventionally measured in joules) is a property of a physical system capable of delivering work (setting a mass in motion...), heat (boiling water...)... The quantity of energy is the product of the intensity of this work (the power, in watts) and the time during which this power is supplied (1 W = 1 J/s). For the purposes of this article, it is usual to express the quantity of energy in Wh and its multiples.
