3. Industrial energy audits to NF EN 16247 standards

A company subject to the regulatory obligation to carry out an energy audit of its activities and wishing to call on an external service provider must, according to the decree and order of 24/11/2014, call on a service provider (legal entity) holding a qualification awarded by a COFRAC-accredited qualification body based on standard NF X 50-091. It is possible, after training (e.g. "Expert référent efficacité énergétique dans l'industrie" delivered by AFNOR) to obtain "certification" as an individual expert, but it is the service provider as a legal entity that must be "qualified". Three bodies award this type of qualification: OPQIBI, LNE and AFNOR. If the energy audit is carried out by a team, one of its members must be designated as the lead auditor.
