3. Exergo-economic optimization of a gas turbine system

3.1 System diagram and mathematical model

The optimization of complex energy systems becomes extremely cumbersome due to the large number of equations, constraints and variables to be taken into account in mathematical models. A weak point of analytical and numerical methods of energy optimization is the impossibility of indicating the influence of a system's structure on the potential for improving its efficiency and the impact on the final cost.
