Chaleur sensible; sensible heat

Heat exchanged, without any physical phase transition, between two or more bodies forming an isolated system.

UTES (Underground Thermal Energy Storage)

Underground heat storage, in an ATES (Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage ) aquifer or BTES (Borehole Thermal Energy Storage ) borehole field.

Latent heat; Chaleur latente

Heat exchanged with the external environment during a change of state from solid to liquid or liquid to vapor.

Phase change material; phase change material

Material with well-defined phase change characteristics, generally solid-liquid.

Sorption; sorption

Physical or chemical process in which one substance attaches to another....
