8. International policies

France is not the only country to be enthusiastic about hydrogen. In fact, all industrialized countries have launched hydrogen programs. The most active today at the industrialization stage are South Korea (road vehicles), Japan (road vehicles, individual cogenerators), China (road vehicles), the United States (industrial electric generators, filling stations), Canada (fuel cells), France (electrolyzers, power-to-gas, road vehicles, hydrogen stations), Germany (hydrogen stations, road vehicles)...

At European level, the Commission brings together the players within the FCH-JU (Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Join Undertaking) program, whose most recent initiative is the publication, in February 2019, of the Hydrogen Roadmap for Europe. The FCH-JU regularly issues calls for projects, with an annual contribution of around €300 million (2020 funding).
