2. Thermal storage system
A thermal storage system consists of a reservoir containing thermal storage materials and transfer fluid, and must be integrated into the process and/or energy network by means of piping and heat exchangers, heat transfer fluid circulation auxiliaries (fan or pump), and possibly energy converters (thermal/electric, for example). Within the storage tank, heat can be stored in various forms.
