3. Conclusion

Provided it is based on highly decarbonized electricity production (nuclear power, hydroelectricity, so-called "renewable" electrical energies...), the massive electrification of the entire economy will not only make it possible to drastically reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, and thus effectively combat climate change (transport, for example, will account for around 30% of greenhouse gas emissions in a country like France in 2023), but, if properly coordinated, will also make it possible to reconcile the legitimate demands of environmental protection with the objectives of industrial development and national sovereignty.

Li-ion, first marketed by Sony in 1991 to power portable consumer equipment, will make a decisive contribution to this revolution. It is already an absolute benchmark for individual mobility, and will rapidly become so for collective mobility,...
