1. Diesel engine fuels
This category includes :
diesel fuel used on the road, in diesel-powered passenger cars and commercial vehicles of all sizes, from vans to tractor-trailers;
products similar to diesel (domestic fuel oil or FOD, fishing diesel, light marine diesel), but reserved for special uses (tractors and agricultural machinery, public works equipment, small boats, etc.);
marine" fuels, which are actually different varieties of heavy fuel oil, used to power the very large diesel engines installed on ships.
It should be noted that FOD has just been replaced (in 2011) by non-road diesel or GnR, which has the same tax treatment as FOD.
