Hot spots

Hot spots are formed by photovoltaic cells which, having undergone heating, no longer produce energy and have a resistive action within a module.

Potential Induced Degradation PID

Potential-induced degradation is a phenomenon that causes photovoltaic cells to lose efficiency due to leakage currents within the module itself. These currents occur when the module frame (or its immediate environment) is at a much higher potential than the cells.

Recovery

The process of recovering all or part of the photovoltaic electricity produced, in order to restore production to a high level.
