3. What standards and regulations apply to gas transport, refuelling and distribution at CNG stations?

3.1 Standards and regulations for the gas transmission system

As soon as they meet the requirements set out in article R. 555-1 du Code de l’environnement , the installation of natural gas transmission facilities is subject to authorization, preceded by an impact study and a public inquiry, in accordance with paragraph 3 of the aforementioned article. Applications for authorization are submitted to the Ministry responsible for natural gas transmission pipelines (currently the Ministry of Energy).
