1. What types of waste can be recovered by anaerobic digestion (excluding biogas from WWTPs and landfills)?

1.1 Decree no. 2011-1597 of November 21, 2011

Apart from waste from wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) and landfills, the other types of waste that can be recycled by methanization are as follows:

  • agricultural waste: pig and cattle slurry, pig and cattle manure, poultry droppings, corn and cereal crop residues... ;

  • food industry waste: animal or vegetable fats, fruit, vegetables...
