9. Desuperheating of intake steam
It may be necessary to desuperheat the steam drawn in by a compressor, particularly on a single-stage cycle in the transient phase, or by the high-pressure compressor of a two-stage machine, under steady-state thermal conditions (as in the case of cold storage rooms for frozen or deep-frozen products), to prevent the discharge temperature from being abnormally high (§ 7.5 ).
