Adsorption, adsorption
Mechanism by which molecules attach to the surface of a solid. This surface phenomenon includes the mechanism by which a gas is transported to a solid wall and bound by physical or chemical interactions.
Crystallization
Separation and concentration process used in a wide range of industrial applications.
It is defined as a phase change process during which a crystal is formed from a solution.
Partial freezing
Term used for the freezing of aqueous solutions in which, at the end of the process, a fraction of the water (around 50%) is in the solid state, while the other fraction remains liquid with an increased concentration of dissolved salts.
