4.1 Laying tiles

  • Installation begins with the running tiles forming the drainage channels.

    The tiles, with the wide part facing up the slope, are laid with an overlap of the tile in the upper row over that in the lower row, according to the "overlap" values specified in the table 1 , and with a lateral spacing of 2 to 5 cm at their widest part.

    On continuous, flat, solid wood or masonry substrates, installation is carried out using a chalk line or layout, and requires the tiles to be wedged. This can be done :
