Article 4 of the decree of September 7, 2009, establishing the technical requirements applicable to on-site wastewater treatment systems, specifies that sewage may be treated separately from graywater in the case of the rehabilitation of existing systems designed according to this method.

In this case, sewage is pretreated in a septic tank and treated in accordance with the requirements of the ordinance. If this is technically impossible, the sewage may be directed to a chemical tank or a watertight storage tank, subject to authorization from the municipality.
