When the quality of a water supply is unsatisfactory, report it to your local authority, so that action can be taken at local level before considering home treatment.

Note

If a company manages water distribution, it should also be contacted. However, even if the service is delegated, it is the local authority that remains responsible for the sanitary quality of the water distributed to its citizens.
