1. Water for domestic use

1.1 The new drinking water directive of December 2020 (according to OiEau – 2020)

Directive (EU) 2020/2184 of the European Parliament and of the Council of December 16, 2020 on the quality of water intended for human consumption is a recast of the European Directive of November 03, 1998 – 98/83/CE.

The main thrusts of this directive are as follows:

• frame for materials in contact with water ;

• risk-based approach ;

• access to water and information ;

• updating of quality parameters.
