  • Gluing wood and wood-based panels

    Wood and chipboard [MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), particleboard...] are construction materials frequently used in the building industry, especially in the Nordic countries and the USA.

    Agglomeration and bonding techniques are well developed and proven. We won't go into them here, as that would require too much elaboration. We will confine ourselves to mentioning a few important applications.

    • Agglomeration of wood fibers or shavings, or sheets of peeled wood (plywood) with urea-formaldehyde resins or phenolic resins to obtain good resistance to water or fire.
