1. Overview of metal construction in France

Metal construction companies cover a broad spectrum of the French construction industry. Traditional metal construction activities mainly concern the manufacture and, in some cases, assembly of metal frameworks. Roofing and cladding activities increasingly require the use of industrialized components. Products are manufactured either by subsidiaries of steel groups, or by companies specializing in the manufacture and coating of thin, cold-formed elements.
