1.1 Understand where you come from to know where you're going
The etymology of the word "bardage" comes from the term "bardeau", which designates a façade covering made from wood shingles.
Initially made of wood or masonry, it was not until the early 20th century that the facades of industrial buildings were gradually covered with non-insulated painted metal sheets.
