2. Gable structure
Several options are available for the main gable structure. While it's possible to use the same gantries as standard ones, they can also be sized according to the loads actually applied in the area.
It's also possible to use a lighter "pan de fer" structure.
2.1 Portal beams
As their name suggests, end porticos are located at the ends of the building. They are also known as gable porticos.
The action zone of an edge gantry is shown in figure 11 . If the distances between all the gantries are the same, this action zone is only half that of a standard gantry. We also note that no action zone appears on the gable. This is...
