3. Ship strikes against fixed obstacles

The following developments are devoted to the problem of seagoing vessels colliding with fixed obstacles. This type of problem is becoming more and more frequent as the development of road networks in various countries leads to the installation of structures crossing estuaries or linking islands to continents (figure 6 ), while sea transport is constantly increasing (figure 7 ).
