2.1 Quantifying public works waste

The FNTP, ADEME and the French Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development have carried out a survey to assess the quantities of public works waste produced in France.

Study framework

• 700 public works companies surveyed by Enerpol between late 2001 and mid-2002.

• 70 company visits, taken from the survey sample.

• A response rate of 34% compared with the initial sample.

• A 20% uncertainty rate.
