Household and industrial wastewater can have pH values ranging from 5 (acidic) to 8 or 9 (basic).

They may contain bacteria.

Industrial water can also contain various chemicals.

Caulking and sealing products must therefore be carefully selected to take account of these various aggressive factors, in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations.
