2. Possible faults and their consequences

Sanitation network failures can be classified into five distinct families. We have ranked them in descending order of potential structural risk, and therefore of need for restructuring.

These are the following points:

  • breaks ;

  • deformations ;

  • leaks ;

  • one-off anomalies ;

  • damage to facings.
