2.1 The geological offer: morphology, anatomy and physiology of the terrain

The first offer is the space available downwards: every two-dimensional plot on the surface is associated with a three-dimensional volume of land, undefined in depth. The designer may believe himself to be freer than on the surface, since he escapes the conditions of slope, exposure, aesthetics, etc., but he will have to take account of conditions specific to the subsoil. The neologism "groundscape" has been coined
