Overview

ABSTRACT

Scaffold calculation is based on the knowledge of the actions at work on its structure (permanent loads, variable loads, combination of loads). This article provides the various data upon which calculations are based. The principles of limit states are listed and taken into account with the applicable safety coefficients: ultimate limit state, limit state of service, verification of global stability, imperfections. To conclude, analysis methods are provided: first order analysis, second order analysis, computing/modeling process and reminders concerning buckling.

 INTRODUCTION

This file contains the data on which the calculations are based. These calculations are based on knowledge of the actions whose combinations apply according to the structure's purpose.

The limit states method described here will be taken into account with the applicable safety coefficients, and the calculations themselves will be carried out by 1 er order or 2nd order analysis.

For further information, readers are invited to consult the following files and already published and also concerning scaffolding ("Use and regulatory framework" and "Materials and equipment").
