2.1 Lifting and support solutions
Rehabilitation projects require special components and tools. The restricted access conditions of old buildings and their deteriorated state of preservation often force professionals to come up with original solutions, where the heavy lifting and intervention equipment used for new building sites is impossible or at least to be avoided.
Hydraulic cylinders (figure 1 ) are useful for positioning support elements. Their size depends not only on the load to be developed, but also on their height, which determines the amplitude of the piston. Flat cylinders are ideal for use in confined spaces or for permanent positioning....
