12. Elevators (article U 36)

§ 1 Lifts must be equipped with non-stop devices.

§ 2 At least one elevator car must be equipped with a key-operated control device. A sufficient number of keys of a unique model are kept at the disposal of the fire and rescue services. This cabin must also be equipped with a system for communicating with the security station, if any, or with a member of staff designated for this purpose.

§ 3 In buildings with more than 4 storeys, firefighters must be provided with a priority call system in at least one cabin.
