1. General
1.1 Establishments subject to regulation (Article U 1)
Hospitalisation involves care lasting more than 12 hours, and by its very nature requires sleeping quarters. Beds used for other types of hospitalization are called day beds.
§ 1 The provisions of Articles U are applicable to public or private health establishments providing medical care, as referred to in the following paragraphs a) and b), in which the number of members of the public is greater than or equal to one of the following figures:
100 people for the simultaneous number of consultants, day beds and visitors;
20 hospital beds.
