1. Drawing perpendiculars
1.1 In the middle of a segment
Given: a line segment [AB].
Using a compass, take a radius R > [AB]/2. Draw an arc from point A with radius R, then repeat from point B with the same radius R. The two arcs intersect at the perpendicular you're looking for (figure 1 ).
