7. Conclusion

MEWPs are used in both the public works and construction sectors. They are increasingly used and appreciated for their qualities (price, size, maneuverability...). But they are risky equipment, all the more so because they are so easy to handle. These risks are amplified by the "altitude" that the nacelle can reach. It's essential that this equipment is always in top condition, well maintained and, above all, serviced by competent, professional personnel. It's also essential that operators are well trained and, above all, that they are well retrained and respectful of their obligations, and that they know the machine they are operating well, since each type of machine has its own reactions.
