3.1 Field of application
Thanks to their rounded shape and the various models and sizes of elements, clay canal tile roofs are ideal for ..:
most often on flat slopes;
but also to more complex roof shapes.
This type of tile also allows a degree of "freedom" in adapting to the shape of the roof, depending on the nature of the substrate. However, the angled cuts of these tiles required for angled edges, hips, etc., make them particularly difficult to produce. In some regions, these tiles are often masonry, which makes them easier to hold in the wind and generally ensures satisfactory watertightness.
