5. Regulatory texts: standards
These documents are provided for information only and may be updated regularly.
The standard is an essential reference, as it constitutes the rules of the art. It also protects the customer and clarifies competition.
5.1 Three categories of standards
We distinguish :
French standard AFNOR ;
the European standard EN, which became a national standard under the name NF EN ;
the international ISO standard, which is not mandatory.
