4.1 Site analysis

Carrying out a site diagnosis is an essential step in any sustainable construction project. This diagnosis enables us to list all the elements needed to exploit the site's assets and minimize its constraints with regard to the construction project. It is then advisable to draw up a map summarizing the site's assets and constraints:

• natural areas ;

• ecological systems ;

• sun curve and prevailing wind direction ;

• water tables ;

• public transport ;

• equipment accessibility ;

• local material resources ;
