3.1.1 Safety requirement

CE marking is intended to enable the free circulation of building products, and therefore roof tiles, within the European Economic Area.

It certifies, under the sole responsibility of the manufacturer, that the tile in question meets the essential requirements as set out in the ZA annexes to the standards (the two standards for clay and concrete roof tiles include a ZA annex which defines the regulatory information for CE marking).
