2. Traditional systems compliant with DTU 43.1 – Case of light vehicles (< 2 tons per axle)

Protection is provided by one of the following provisions.

2.1 Asphalt self-protection

This provision concerns the 15 + 25 asphalt surface, which provides both waterproofing and protection for traffic.

This coating is only permitted when applied directly to masonry substrates, excluding type D load-bearing elements when they are not supplemented by an adherent reinforced concrete slab.

This system is suitable for load-bearing elements that cannot withstand compaction forces (Figure 3 ).
