thermal continuity;
continuity of the airtight seal;
secure transmission of vertical and horizontal loads.
A failure in this area can affect energy performance, the durability of the bottom rail, and regulatory compliance (RE2020). In straw-based construction, these requirements take on particular significance due to the bio-based, fibrous, and hygroscopic nature of the insulation material.
