6. Materials used in timber construction

Like all products used in construction, materials used in timber construction, whatever their family, origin or nature, must be covered by environmental and health declaration sheets (FDES) [TBA 1 420] . This requirement is governed by the French standard NF P01-010 "Qualité environnementale des produits de construction – Déclaration environnementale et sanitaire des produits de construction" (December 2004), which promotes an approach to the environmental and health quality of buildings and the control of their impacts.
