3. Regulations

Following on from RE 2020 decree no. 2021-1004 of July 29, 2021, the RE 2020 decree published in the Journal Officiel on August 15, 2021 sets the energy and environmental performance requirements for new buildings and extensions from the deadline of January 1 ^er 2022.

RE 2020 imposes five performance requirements:

1. optimizing the energy design of the building, regardless of the energy systems used (Bbio indicator);

2. limiting primary energy consumption (Cep indicators);

3. limiting the impact on climate change associated with this consumption (indicator Ic _energy );
