3.1 Fittings
The NF standard criteria are as follows:
E for water flow, from E1 to E4 ;
A for acoustics, from A1 to A3 (A1 is the quietest);
U for wear resistance, from U1 to U3 ;
C for comfort and ergonomics, from C1 to C3.
EAU ratings refer to mixing valves, while ECAU ratings refer to mechanical or thermostatic mixing valves.
