Overview
ABSTRACT
The bathroom is a room for hygiene which has become much more than a simple room where one washes has now become regarded as a true living space. Although users' main concerns remain hygiene, they are increasingly aware of the environment and take into account the need for water and energy saving. Another major concern of the users is to create a comfortable and practical environment. Furniture has thus evolved, applying technology to the service of comfort with infrared switches, LEDs or backlit mirrors. Users are also eager to optimize space; for instance they prefer showers to classical bathtubs. Essentially due to the economic crisis, the sanitary fittings market has become a replacement market in which users have become involved. This article allows for the better understanding of the different components constitutive of a bathroom, the materials, the fundamental rules to be respected in terms of security and installations in order to make the best choices based on objective criteria.

INTRODUCTION
The bathroom is a space for healthy living, where people seek pleasure and relaxation. It's more than just a room for washing, it's a room for living, combining aesthetics with practicality.
Hygiene remains a top priority for the user, who will prefer, for example, a "suspended" installation mode for easier cleaning. But they are also increasingly interested in :
to the environment, and takes into account water and energy savings;
the time-saving solutions offered by the spectacular evolution of the shower: from the simple "shower corner" to the electronically-controlled multi-function enclosure, which can even incorporate... a radio;
space optimization: the vanity-mounted washbasin will replace the pedestal washbasin, and the shower is preferred to the classic bathtub, which will nevertheless continue to exist in the form of a bathtub-shower with bath screen. The bidet is tending to disappear.
The bathtub is still a popular choice for relaxing at the end of the day and relieving stress under a thick layer of bubble bath. If you also opt for balneotherapy, combined with aromatherapy and chromotherapy, you can enjoy all the invigorating benefits of water, combined with the relaxing effects of essential oils, or the energizing effects of light. Electronically controlled, you can choose the intensity and duration of the massage, adjust the ozone supply from the infrared remote control, and dream away in a luminous ambience that can be modified by... the touch of a foot!
Over the past few years, new housing starts have been declining, mainly due to the economic crisis. The sanitaryware market has therefore become a replacement market, in which the user is involved: organization of space, decoration, atmosphere, style, design, reflecting his or her personality and need for well-being.
The following article will give you a better understanding of the different components of the bathroom, the properties of the appliances, the materials used, and the basic rules to be observed in terms of safety and installation, so that you can make your choice based on objective criteria.
