 INTRODUCTION

The general definition of textile floor coverings is as follows:

"Flexible article, consisting of a wear layer made of textile material and most often a base, generally intended for covering floors."

Textile materials are natural or chemically manufactured fibrous or filamentary materials intended for the manufacture of textile articles such as yarns, fabrics, knits, nets, ropes, braids, felts, etc.

These floor coverings must meet a number of resistance and aesthetic criteria. Their composition also includes the wear layer, a layer of resistant natural or synthetic material that allows easy installation on unfinished floors or as an overlay for hard floors or parquet.
