4. Variable speed control

We have examined the fixed-supply behavior of motors with different inductor couplings. For a long time, DC motors were the only motors suitable for variable speeds. Numerous solutions were devised, from resistors to modern electronic drives. We'll take a brief look at the conditions under which DC motors can be used for variable speed control.
