 INTRODUCTION

This article follows on from the article "General presentation of EMC" [D 1 300] and presents the different modes of coupling between a source of disturbance and its victim, taking into account the attenuations brought about by the different modes of connection between the aggressor and the aggressed.

Particular attention is paid to a common link between all electrical and/or electronic devices: ground and, more generally, earth.

This article concludes with a few tips on grounding various components (electrical equipment, frames, chassis, potential references, cable screens, power supplies).
