4.1 Equipment test plan content

Here we describe the information expected in an EMC test plan for a piece of equipment. It is very tempting for a novice engineer to repeat the tests described in the specifications as they are.

However, this document has a precise function: it must provide all the information required for the EMC qualification of a piece of equipment. This information includes, of course, the list of tests to be carried out, but above all the operating procedures for putting the equipment into service, the description of the means used, the severity levels and the fault criteria.
