  • Servomechanisms

    They currently account for the bulk of linear motor and linear rotary motor applications, as they enable complex hydraulic structures to be simplified. In addition, precision scanners (nano-cutting), thin-filament pre-tensioning and the design of "Pick & Place" robots are difficult to envisage without direct linear drives.

    Figure 22 shows a linear rotary motor for an automobile gearbox.
